WRDTC Student Academic Quality Committee (AQC) Representative

The White Rose Doctoral Training Centre (WRDTC) invite you to join the Academic Quality Committee to represent the views of students.

This is a unique opportunity to influence decision making in the WRDTC and the chance to meet key WRDTC staff and student representatives from other WRDTC institutions and above all to improve the training offering for your fellow students.

What will I do?

•  Gather feedback from other WRDTC students in your institution
•  Attend Academic Quality Committee (AQC) meetings on a rotational basis to provide student representation for your institution
•  Inform other WRDTC students in your institution of the decisions made at AQC meetings
•  Raise awareness among students on your course of issues discussed at the AQC meetings

Who will I be working with?

You will join the three existing 2nd year reps on the committee, liaise with the WRDTC PhD students whom you represent and the Faculty Directors of Research & Innovation (or equivalent) in each of the WRDTC institutions.

How much time will I have to commit?

Approximately 6 hours per meeting (2 hours preparation, 2 hours attending the meeting itself and 2 hours follow up work following the meeting).  Approximately 4 meetings in your home institution a year.
