This interdisciplinary workshop will bring together scholars working on EU citizenship and free movement. The first afternoon will consider the theme in broad perspective, exploring relevant political/legal theoretical debates related to the issue. The morning of the second day will zoom in on national cases considering the politics and debate surrounding the issue of free movement and EU citizenship in comparative perspective. The final morning will, drawing on practitioner experiences as well as academic research, explore the ‘on-the ground’ situation of non-national EEA citizens living in the UK in local contexts.
