‘How we write’
Date & Time: Tuesday 27 February 2018, 1pm – 2.30pm
Venue: Room 1.09, Elmfield Building, University of Sheffield
As academics, whether PhD students, Post-docs, Lecturers, Senior Lecturers or Professors, writing is a central part of our job. But, it’s something we often don’t talk about. In this seminar, we want to bring together academics throughout the career cycle to talk about the experience of writing, discussing how we write, what problems we encounter, and how we overcome these difficulties.
The session will start with short reflections from Prof Charlie Burns, Dr Ross Bellaby and Dr Alasdair Cochrane, but we’re keen to hear a range of views, experiences and questions, so come along for an informal chat.
Students are responsible for arranging travel to and from these Pathway Specific Training sessions. The WRDTP cannot reimburse travel costs to these sessions.
This event will be live streamed, further details about how to access this will follow.
