Awards for White Rose DTC Postgraduate Researchers at the University of Leeds fifth annual Postgraduate Researcher Conference

The University of Leeds held its fifth annual Postgraduate Conference on 4 December 2014 which featured the work of Postgraduate Research students and highlighted the significant contribution that Leeds research students make to the research profile and academic life of the University.
We are delighted to announce that the following White Rose DTC Postgraduate Research students were awarded prizes:
Joanna Elvy (Institute for Transport Studies) came second in the Postgraduate Researcher of the Year category for her research “Towards socially inclusive sustainable mobility: The role of social capital in participatory transport planning processes
Lesley Ellis (Sociology and Social Policy) and Ella Holdsworth (Law) came joint third in the Three Minute Thesis competition for respectively: “Disabled or Dwarf? The influence of a mobility aid in the discrimination of women with Dwarfism in public spaces and “If the tag fits, wear it. If the tag doesn’t fit…what then?”.
