The White Rose Social Science Doctoral Training Centre, accredited by the Economic and Social Research Council in 2011, is a collaboration across the social sciences at the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York.

Formal and informal training courses, seminars, summer schools and workshops sit alongside the support of academic supervisors, Departments and Faculties, and the provision of opportunities beyond the University, to create a research environment in which postgraduates can thrive.

The DTP is seeking a substantial increase in the number and type of collaborative opportunities available to PhD students.
